Chem Windows can not only draw two-dimensional molecular structures, but also provides tools for simulating three-dimensional molecular structures. Chinese characters can be input directly in the Chinese Windows environment. The drawn molecular structure formula can be cut and pasted and put into a file edited by Word for Windows software. You can also use the program provided to convert it into files in various other graphic formats and call them for other application software. For example, if they are converted into eps files, they can be called by Word for Dos, Word Perfect for Dos or Wordperfect for Windows.
Chem Windows also comes with a detailed periodic table of chemical elements, which provides the ability to check molecular structural formulas, calculate molecular weights, and give molecular formula formulas. Open the "other" menu and select "check syntax." If it finds that there are irregular structures in the molecular formula, the cursor will appear in the area in question so that you can check and modify it. Select "Calculate Mass" to give the molecular formula formula and molecular weight.
In order to provide more tools while keeping the desktop simple, chem Windows provides many backup prefabricated molecular structures and symbols. These prefabricated molecular structures and symbols are stored in files with the cw2 extension. We can also add our commonly used molecular structures to them. When using them, load them through Load in the File menu, and these prefabricated molecular structures and symbols will be added to the toolbar, which greatly simplifies the creation steps.
