Introduction to Mac OS X installation method

First, directly upgrade and install

First you need to have a developer account. Secondly, the developer preview version only allows developers to learn about some functions of Apple's latest system, and helps Apple test whether there are serious bugs, so as to minimize bugs when it is finally released. It is not an official version, and it definitely cannot provide a stable operating environment, nor can it give you the best user experience. Of course, if you don’t think it matters, just download and install it directly.

Second, partition independent installation

You can use Disk Utility to partition the hard disk or mobile hard disk, and then install the system on a new partition. You can have unlimited experience and continue to work on older versions of the system. Obviously, if you are an ordinary user, this is the most reliable way to do things. But to install this way, you need to make an installation USB disk.

1. First, you need to download the Apple system provided by this site. After double-clicking InstallESD.dmg to open it, you can see the hidden file BaseSystem.dmg.

2. Then, open the terminal (Applications - Utilities), enter open space first, drag BaseSystem.dmg into the terminal window and press Enter. Open Disk Utility again.

3. Open Disk Utility, select OS X Base System in the lower left corner and choose to restore to your USB device. Be sure not to make the wrong choice here, as the recovery process will erase the disk.

4. After the recovery is completed, open the file on the USB flash drive, enter the directory, System - Installation. Delete the Package shortcut first

5. Copy all the files in the original installation folder OS X Install ESD to the System - Installation directory.

6. Copy BaseSystem.dmg and Basesystem.chunklist in the OS X Install ESD dmg file to the root directory of the USB flash drive.

7. Then hide the system hidden files, and the USB disk can start the system smoothly.

FAQ

System startup failed

Problem description: Mac cannot enter the system when starting, displays an error message or black screen.

Solution:
