Navicat is powerful enough to meet all the needs of professional developers, yet is easy to learn for those new to database servers. With a comprehensive graphical user interface (GUI), Navicat makes it easy for you to create, organize, access and share information in a secure and simple way.
Navicat is available on three platforms - Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. It allows users to connect to any local or remote server, and provides some practical database tools such as data model, data transfer, data synchronization, structure synchronization, import, export, backup, restore, report creation tools and plans to assist in managing data.
Query builder
Navicat provides a useful tool for visually creating queries called the Visual Builder. It lets you create and edit queries without SQL knowledge. Database objects are displayed in the left panel. On the right panel, it is divided into two parts: the graphic view above, and the syntax view below.
Note: The visual creation tool only supports SELECT statements. Please use the Query Editor to create complex queries.
Query Editor
Navicat provides a useful tool for creating and running queries called the Query Editor. It lets you create and edit the SQL text of queries, prepare and run selected queries.
You can display the object tree by simply selecting View -> Show Object Tree.
Tip: Query text will be automatically generated when you create it in the query builder tool.
