CPUIDLE EXTREME software characteristics

Taskbar icon

When CPUIDLE runs, it displays a small icon in the Windows pallet. This icon shows your CPU's current idle percentage. Moving the mouse to the icon will display a prompt to display the CPUIDLE version and the actual idle percentage value.

Pop -up menu

CPU information table

Start option

CPUIDLE supports the option that allows automatic startup: starts with Windows.

Other options are used to enable/disable the startup screen and CPU optimization. It is recommended to enable CPU optimizations, because this may increase application performance (that is, by enabling writing and allocation provided by some CPUs).

CPUIDLE EXTREME Precautions

CPUIDLE was written with Borland Delphi. In order to perform the required chipset and CPU optimization, CPUIDLE requires direct hardware access. Under the Windows operating system, "ordinary" user space software is impossible.

To solve this limit, CPUIDLE uses a special device driver to achieve direct hardware access.

The application -level interface is a hardware abstract layer provided by the Delphi Tring0 component. Tring0 provides the following functions:

A: A simple method is the temperature of the air blowing from the CPU fan manually. After running the official version of CPUIDLE EXTREME for a few minutes, it will definitely be cooler than CPUIDLE running.

If you want to know how much CPUIDLE is on your system, and you have a motherboard or compatible sensor with LM 78, you can display the system temperature in the BIOS settings, then you can try to use the motherboard monitor or HMONITOR.

Q: Okay, I believe that the official version of CPUIDLE EXTREME is valid, but is it safe?

A: Of course. LINUX and other operating systems use the same technology as the official version of CPUIDLE Extreme to reduce power consumption. However, a cheap PC with a low -quality component may be collapsed by CPUIDLE and any other applications.

   Q: When I start the official version of CPUIDLE EXTREME, the CPU's usage rate immediately climbed to 100% -what happened?
