Sonic BrawlGame introduction
Developed jointly by Sonic Team and Rovio Entertainment, and published by Sega, it will be launched globally on May 8, 2025, on PC (Steam), iOS and Android platforms, and supports cross-platform connections. The game adopts a free-to-play + in-app purchase model, with no “pay to win” mechanism. The season pass mainly provides appearance content such as character skins and expressions. A single round lasts about 10 minutes and consists of 3 rounds: 16 people are eliminated in the first round of racing, 8 people remain in the second round of survival/hunting mode, and the final round determines the ranking by competing for the golden ring. The total duration of the campaign can be extended to more than 20 hours through repeated play and unlocked content, and supports Chinese voice and Northeastern dialect easter eggs.
Sonic BrawlGame features
Lightweight competitive experience: The operation logic is simplified to "point where to go", and complex steering and hard animations are cancelled, so novices can get started quickly. Dynamic difficulty balances players of different levels through random events (such as sandstorms, spore clouds) and prop delivery.
Character skill combination system: Each character has 3 skill bars, which can be freely matched with acceleration, shield, grabbing and other skills. For example, Sonic's "Spin Dash" can break obstacles, Tails' "Mechanical Arm" can remotely grab golden rings, and the skill combination affects the level strategy.
55 themed levels: covering the four major ecological planets such as lava volcanoes and mutated rainforests. 3 level types are randomly combined in a single game. Some levels support piloting mechas or flying dragons for large-scale battles. For example, when lava erupts on a volcanic planet, you need to find radiation points to avoid it.
Cross-platform social interaction: Supports voice chat and “trash talk” taunting system, and shares technology tree progress when online. In the 4-person team mode, you need to cooperate to crack the mechanism (such as one person activating the platform and the other person jumping), and simultaneously unlock the scientific research level and equipment blueprints.
Character development and appearance system: Unlock more than 20 kinds of character skins (such as pirate costume Sonic) and animation special effects by collecting gold rings. Collect them all to obtain special equipment such as "Unparalleled Armor". Some skins trigger hilarious interactions (such as alien plants swaying to music).

Three-stage elimination mechanism: In the first round of racing levels (such as "Green Hill Sprint"), players need to use springs and slide rails to quickly reach the finish line, and the top 16 advance; in the second round of survival levels (such as "Acid Rain Wasteland"), they need to avoid environmental damage and grab golden rings, and 8 people survive to advance to the finals; in the final round of "King of Golden Rings", players can use props (such as lightning balls, shields) to snatch the opponent's golden rings, and the cumulative number determines the ranking.
Three-dimensional combat strategy: Use the grappling hook to move quickly on the floating continent and attack the enemy's weak points (such as joints and power sources) to trigger stiffness. BOSS battles return to classic mechanisms. For example, the "Dr. Eggman Mecha" needs to destroy core components and avoid barrages. In some levels, flying dragons can be summoned for air support.
Exploration and resource management: Use the mapping perspective to mark unexplored areas, and collect orange gum (increase the upper limit of blood volume) and ores (unlock the technology tree). Random events (such as caravans asking for help) may be traps and need to be dealt with with caution.
Moral choices and multiple endings: You can choose to expose or exploit the conspiracy by collecting evidence of corporate violations. The ending branch affects the protagonist's degree of mechanization (for example, a fully mechanical body can be immune to toxins but loses emotions). After clearing the level, you can continue to explore the hidden plot.

PC version minimum requirements: Windows 10/11 64-bit system, Intel Pentium G3260 or AMD A8-7650K processor, 4GB memory, NVIDIA GT 630 2GB or AMD R7 240 graphics card, 7GB SSD.
Recommended configuration for PC version: Windows 10/11 64-bit system, Intel i3-8100 or AMD Ryzen 3 3100 processor, 8GB memory, NVIDIA GTX 1050 or AMD RX 460 graphics card, NVMe SSD recommended to reduce loading time.
Mobile optimization: iOS requires iPhone 8 and above, Android requires Snapdragon 660/Kirin 970 and above, supports 720P-1080P dynamic resolution, and a stable frame rate of 30 frames. It is recommended to use a wired network connection to reduce latency.
Storage space: All platforms need to reserve more than 7GB of space, and it is recommended to reserve an additional 5GB cache for mechanical hard drives.
