SketchBook2015 function introduction
1. New functions
1. Animation
Create a flipbook, unit animation, animated prototype or proof of concept. Set keyframes along the timeline. Set the background color, create the background template, and draw the animation cells. A flipbook file behaves like a regular graphics file, with two exceptions - it also has a timeline and only contains 3 layers.
2. Choose
Access the Selection toolbar, which contains a variety of selection tools, including the Magic Wand. In Preferences (Edit > Preferences > General > Selection), choose one of the following options to access different selection modification tools:
3. Standard mode
After making a selection, use any selection tool and access the Replace, Add, Delete, Invert, and Deselect tools in the Selection toolbar to modify the selection.
4. Quick mode
Once an area is selected, a Transform Dial appears, allowing you to move, scale, and/or rotate the selection.
Magic Wand - Use the "Magic Wand" selection to select areas based on color. Change the tolerance (1 to 255) to determine how closely the colors match. The higher the tolerance, the greater the selection.
5. Permanent choice
Select an area to sketch and/or use Gradient Fill.
6. Gradient fill
A gradient fill is made up of multiple colors mixed with the colors before and after it. There are two types of gradient fills: linear and radial.
7. Linear filling
Fill the area with paint, using a color ramp and applying it in a linear fashion from the first click (origin) to the drag end (target). This action establishes the direction and magnitude of the slope. Fill manipulators can be added, moved, or deleted.
8. Radial filling
Fill the area with paint, using a color ramp and applying it in a radial fashion from the first click (origin) to the drag end (target). Fill manipulators can be added, moved, or deleted.
9. Enhanced cropping
Use cropping to increase canvas size.
10. Sharpen the edges of the brush
Create textured brush strokes with sharp edges using the new Sharpen Brush Edges setting.
11. New color disc
Contains additional palettes for drawing and gradient fills.
12. Layers
Multiple layers of transforms and distortions have been added, as well as groupings, background color layers, and multiple blending modes.
13. Layer group
Create groups in the Layer Editor to help organize assets.
14. Background color layer
This layer is only used to set the background color of the graphic. Use additional layers of handwriting.
15. Multiple blending modes
The following blending modes have been added: Darken, Color Burn, Linear Burn, Lighten, Color Dodge, Glow, Soft Glow, Overlay, Soft Light, Hard Light, Hue, Saturation, Color, and Glow.
16. Multi-layer transformation
Use the Shift key to select multiple layers, then rotate, scale, or move the layers.
17. Distortion
The following tools have been added to the toolbar:
⑴Multi-layer distortion selection
Select multiple layers and apply the same distortion to all layers.
⑵Twisted selection
Move points that are not constrained to 90 degrees and create a sense of perspective or speed. The bounding box and manipulators will appear. Click drag and reposition the bounding box points.
⑶Zoom and distortion
Change the size of the distorted selection. Use the Shift key to scale evenly, and Shift-drag to one side to scale in only one direction.
18. Reposition the axis of symmetry
Click and drag the manipulator to move the symmetry line.
19. Automatic recovery
Never worry about crashes or data loss. All work will be resumed automatically the next time you start SketchBook.
20. Perspective mode
The following perspective modes have been added to the toolbar:
⑴1 point mode
Create an end point in the center of the canvas. Hover over it to display the horizontal line (blue line). Drag the manipulator to reposition the end point and horizontal line.
⑵2 point mode
Creates 2 end points, aligned horizontally by default.
⑶3 point mode
Create 3 termination points. When you hover over the vanishing point or drag the vanishing point, horizontal lines (blue) and vanishing lines (light blue) appear.
⑷Fisheye mode
Create 5 end points: left, right, top, bottom, and center. The grid consists of horizontal lines, vertical lines and circles. The curves intersect at the end point. Moving the center point moves the entire grid. Move the edge points to change the radius of the circle.
2. Improved functions
1. Perspective
Use the right and left arrow keys to control the perspective direction of the setting
When saving a TIFF file, if it has an end point, it will be saved to that file
2. Gradient filling improvement
When creating a gradient fill, you can delete either end of the fill and undo or redo any changes
3. Larger brush strokes
Brushes can now be customized up to 512 pixels
