OpenLDAP client usage instructions
In some cases, customers may want to be able to determine which group an entry belongs to without having to perform additional searches. An example of this is an application that uses DIT for access control based on group authorization.
Overriding members updates an attribute (defaults to memberOf) whenever the membership attribute (default member) of an entry in the objectclass configured to trigger an update (defaults to groupOfNames) changes.
So when the usual maintenance of a group is done by modifying the members in the group entry, it provides a list of groups to which the maintained entry belongs
DDS coverage implements dynamic objects according to RFC2589. The name dds stands for Dynamic Directory Service. It allows defining dynamic objects, characterized by dynamicObjectobjectClass.
Dynamic objects have a limited lifetime, determined by a possible time to live (TTL)
Refresh via a specific refresh extension operation. This action allows setting the Client Refresh Period (CRP), the refresh period required to keep dynamic objects expired. The expiration time is calculated by adding the request's TTL to the current time. Dynamic objects are automatically deleted when they reach the end of their lifecycle without further refreshes. Immediate deletion is not guaranteed, so customers should not rely on it
