How to create a library

What is a resource library?

The resource library is the main way for Eagle to store pictures. You can think of the resource library as a "photo album". We can store different types of pictures in corresponding albums. Unlike computer folders, each Eagle resource Libraries are independent of each other and have their own "folders, tags, pictures" and other information, and will not affect each other.

For example, we will not be affected by a resource library that collects "graphic design" from another resource library that collects "architectural design."

Create a resource library

When you use the software for the first time, you will see the following screen. If it is your first time to use this product, you can click "Start" to create your first resource library. If there is already a resource library in your computer, you You can click "Import Resource Library on Computer" to perform the loading action, as shown in the figure below:

Tip: You can create the resource library in the synchronization folder of the cloud synchronization service to quickly synchronize collections on multiple devices. learn more

Rename the resource library

Currently, Eagle does not provide the function of renaming the resource library, but you can first modify the name of the resource library by modifying the path name on the computer. For example, if we want to change the name of "My Materials" to "My Inspiration", you can Do this:

Step 1: Open the location of the resource library

Step 2: Change the folder name (Example: My inspiration.library)

Step 3: Return to Eagle and click the software menu, "Resource Library" → "Load Resource Library", select the new resource library path and click Confirm to complete.

Note: We will provide this function in the software in the future.

Backup Eagle Resource Library

In order to avoid the loss of collections caused by computer loss or damage, you can back up the resource library anytime and anywhere. The backup method is also quite simple. You only need to copy/paste the computer folder corresponding to the resource library to complete.

Step 1: Copy the current resource library
