The biggest advantage of ClockGen is that overclocking can be done directly under Windows, saving you the trouble of entering the BIOS to set the multiplier * FSB and then entering Windows to confirm with CPU-Z.
ClockGen overclocking principle:
The principle of ClockGen overclocking is the same as that of modifying parameters in the BIOS: both change the frequency of the system bus by sending instructions to the PLL chip. For motherboards whose frequency cannot be adjusted in the BIOS, if the frequency generator above is a PLL chip supported by ClockGen or SetFSB, users can still overclock through software. Since each manufacturer uses different frequency generators, ClockGen has versions for different motherboards.
