How to use TRACEBook software to create courseware
1. Text
1.1 There are two ways to add text:
(1) Click text, use the keyboard to enter text, and edit the text.
(2) Enter the text editing state in other documents, copy, and paste into the text box of TRACEBook to edit.
1.2 Moving and locking text position: (emphasis on switching mouse states)
(1) Select the text object and you can change the text position by dragging.
(2) After selecting the object, click the blue semicircle key on the upper right side of the dotted box, and select Lock Position in the dialog box that appears to fix the position of the text.
1.3 The color of the text can be set through the "Border Color" in the upper toolbar.
1.4 The font of the text can be adjusted through in the toolbar above. The font size can be selected through
1.5 Background color: Set by clicking "Background Color" in the right-click menu.
2. Pictures
2.1 There are three ways to add pictures:
(1) Copy from the office document and paste the picture.
(2) Select pictures from the gallery in the file through Insert in the toolbar above.
(3) Obtain pictures through screen capture.
2.2 Background setting and overlay order adjustment of pictures (layer technology):
(1) Background setting: After selecting the picture, click the blue semicircle key, and select "Make Background" in "Sort" in the right-click menu that appears. The position of the picture can be fixed and cannot be edited. To release the background status, you can select "Retrieve Background" in "Sort" in the right-click menu.
(2) Coverage order adjustment (layer technology): By selecting "Sort" in the right-click menu of the corresponding picture, different pictures can be arranged hierarchically.
2.3 Moving, scaling and rotating images:
(1) Move the position by selecting the picture.
(2) After selecting the object, drag the hollow circle in the lower right corner of the border to zoom the picture; or double-click the left and right positions of the picture to reduce or enlarge the picture in equal proportions.
(3) After selecting the object, rotate the picture by rotating the green circle above the border. You can also adjust the rotation center point to achieve different rotations.
3. Graphics
3.1 How to draw graphics: By clicking on the rectangle, ellipse, or straight line in the upper toolbar, you can draw the corresponding graphics. Click the shape to draw a triangle, click the small black triangle in its lower right corner to choose to draw dotted lines and polygons.
3.2 Combining and ungrouping graphics: Circle the objects to be combined and click "Group" in the right-click menu; click to select the combined objects and click "Ungroup" in the right-click menu.
3.3 Movement, scaling and rotation of graphics: Move the position by selecting the graphics; drag the hollow circle in the lower right corner of the graphics to scale the size of the graphics; and rotate the graphics by rotating the green circle above the border.
3.4 Movement of the rotation center point: Select the object, drag the center red point, and press the green button to rotate around the moved center point.
3.5 Alignment: Circle all objects to be aligned. After selecting the standard object to be aligned, click the alignment method in "Sort" in the blue semicircle key menu of this object.
3.6 Shading of graphics: By filling the rectangle with color and setting its sorting position at the top level, it is possible to cover it at the desired position.
3.7 Drag and copy: By right-clicking to drag and copy, you can copy the original graphics without limit. Select drag and copy again to cancel the drag and copy function.
4. Audio and video links
4.1 Links to audio files
1. Linking method of audio files:
1) Link to a sound file: Select the object to be linked, click "Set Sound Properties" in the right-click menu, click "Browse" in the pop-up dialog box, and select the sound file to be linked.
2) Set the sound file playback time: Enter the start and end time of playing the sound file in the "Start" and "End" text boxes as needed.

4.2 Links to video files
1. Several links to video files: Select the link object, bring up the right-click menu, select "Set Link Object", and click the "Browse" button in the pop-up window to select the linked video file.
2. Video file playback skills:
(1) Full-screen video playback: Quickly click the black arrow in the lower left corner of the link object to play in full-screen mode. Press any pen key on the pen bar at the same time. The playback screen will pause. At this time, you can write comments on the screen. Press the mouse button to continue playback.
(2) Embedded playback: Click the black arrow for a long time (more than one second) to achieve embedded playback. This playback method can also be used to pause, annotate and continue playback through pen keys and mouse keys. You can also play in the blank space while playing. Writing on the blackboard.
4.3 FLASH link
1. Link method: Select the link object, bring up the right-click menu, select "Set Link Object", and click the "Browse" button in the pop-up window to select the linked FLASH animation.
2. Linking skills:
(1) The width and position of the link object determine the size and position of the flash playback window.
(2) The window size can be adjusted during playback, and the position can also be adjusted by dragging.
(3) You can directly stop playback by clicking on a blank space.
5. Application of TOOLBOX
5.1 TOOLBOX file types: thumbnail (TBK), template (TMK), graphics library (TGK)
1. Thumbnail generation & saving: The courseware presentation is saved in thumbnail form, click Save.
2. Template library generation & saving
(1) Single-page template: Click "Save as Page Template" under the "File" menu to save the current thumbnail as a single-page template.
(2) File template: Click "Save as Template" under the "File" menu to save all thumbnails as template files.
(3) Multi-page template: Click on the blank space on the courseware page you want to make a template and drag it to the template library. Repeat the action to create multiple templates. Click "Save Graphic Annotation" to save it to the TGK file.
3. Graphics library generation & saving: Drag the objects that need to be made into graphic resources into the graphics library, and then click "Save Graphic Annotation" to save them to the TGK file. The objects that can be made into graphic resources include text, graphics, and pictures.
4. Graphic annotation library: template library & graphics library
Save the templates in the template library and the graphics in the graphics library to a TGK file by clicking "Save Graphic Annotation"; or directly close the TRACEBook application and save the TGK file according to the prompts.
5.2 Use of TOOLBOX:
1. Thumbnail: Click the thumbnail label in TOOLBOX to quickly find a certain page of the presentation.
2. Graphics library: Click the graphics label in TOOLBOX, right-click in the blank space, select "Insert Graphics Annotation Library", and select the required TGK file according to the path.
3. Template library: Click the template tag in TOOLBOX, right-click in the blank space, select "Insert Template", and select the required TMK file according to the path.
