Software features:
AMD has released its annual graphics card driver Radeon Software Crimson ReLive 17.7.2, which greatly improves gaming, VR and other experiences. The most important one is Enhanced Sync (enhanced synchronization technology), which replaces VSync (vertical synchronization) and can provide additional buffering for all FreeSync to ensure that latency and tearing are reduced to a minimum.
AMD took "Overwatch" as an example. After turning on Enhanced Sync, the delay was reduced by 34%, and the frame rate fluctuation dropped by 92%. At the same time, Radeon Chill frame rate control and cooling technology now supports up to 40 games (although the official does not specify the specific new IP), and can be used on notebooks, multiple graphics cards, and XConnect external graphics cards. Even in the test of HP's Omen notebook, Chill improved the battery life by 30%. After the R9 graphics card was turned on, the power consumption dropped sharply in "Lol", "Dota2", "Battlefield 1" and "Doom".
Secondly, the Radeon WattMan overclocking tool adds memory frequency reduction and power level control functions.
