FAQ
Session configuration lost
Reason: SecureCRT was not closed properly, the configuration file was damaged, and it was deleted manually.
Solution:
Restoring a backup: SecureCRT saves the configuration in C:Users<username>AppDataRoamingVanDykeConfig (Windows) or ~/.vandyke (Linux/macOS) by default, which can be restored from a backup.
Re-import sessions: Select the backed up .ini or .json file via File → Import Sessions.
