Win7 optical drive upgrade method
Step one:
Right-click the "My Computer" icon and select "Properties" in the pop-up shortcut menu.
Step two:
In the "System Properties" dialog box that opens, select the "Advanced" tab and click "Device Manager".
Step three:
In the opened "Device Manager" dialog box, click the small triangle in front of "DVD/CD-ROM".
Step 4:
Then double-click the "CD-RWCDR-1640SB" option that opens, and select "Properties" in the pop-up tab.
Step 5:
Select "Driver" in the opened "Properties" to see the update program.
Why does the CD-ROM drive automatically eject repeatedly? What is the solution?
1. There may be a problem with the touch sensor inside the optical drive.
Solution: When the optical drive is normally powered on, gently push the tray to retract it. Please try to see if this function works properly now.
2. Can you try this again:
Solution: Unplug the optical drive signal cable, leaving only the power cable. If it doesn't play, it may be a software problem; if it still plays, it may be a hardware problem with the optical drive. Or try installing the CD-ROM drive on another machine.
3. Another reason may be caused by the belt: automatic playback
1. Click "Start", select "Run", type "gpedit.msc" and run it to open the "Group Policy" window;
2. Under "Local Computer Policy" in the left column, open "Computer Configuration_Administrative Templates_System", then under the "Settings" heading in the right column, double-click "Turn off AutoPlay";
3. Select the "Settings" tab, check the "Disabled" or "Not Configured" check button, then select "All drives" in the "Turn off AutoPlay" box, click the "OK" button to exit the "Group Policy" window.
