Adding drives/disks to RAID can help you add new drives to striped volumes (RAID 0) and RAID 5 to expand such volumes without the need to recreate the software RAID array.
Step 1. Launch Aomei Dynamic Disk Manager Click "Add Drive to RAID" on the main interface of DDM. Click "Next" in the pop-up window.
Step 2. In the next window select the volume to which you want to add the disk. Then click "Next".
Step 3. Select the disk to add. Click "Finish" and then "Submit" to complete the operation.
Notice:
You can only add drives to striped (RAID0) and RAID 5 volumes, you cannot add other dynamic volumes
The drive you want to add must be the same size as the volume you want to extend.
Change label
A volume label is a short name that you can assign to a volume to better distinguish it from other volumes. By setting different labels to different volumes, you can easily understand the purpose of each volume, for example, if the volume contains system data, we can label it as "System" etc. Aomei Dynamic Disk Manger can help you achieve this easily.
Step 1. Right-click the volume you want to set. Select "Change Label".
Step 2. Enter the name you want to set and click OK.
Step 2. Click "Submit" on the toolbar.
Note: You can change the label during volume creation or formatting.
