TortoiseSVN 32-bit installation method

​​​Note: TortoiseSVN software is 32-bit, you need to check whether your computer is a 32-bit system. The editor's computer is 64-bit. Taking the 64-bit system as an example, the installation process is the same.

​ ​ 1. After downloading the TortoiseSVN 3 software from this site, get an .exe file and a Simplified Chinese language installation package locally on your computer. Double-click the .exe file to enter the software installation interface, and click [next] to continue the installation.

​ ​ 2. Enter the TortoiseSVN installation protocol interface and click [next] to continue the installation.

3. Select the installation location of TortoiseSVN. You can click [Browse] in the installation location interface that opens. You can select the installation location of the software. After selecting, click [next] to continue the installation.

How to use TortoiseSVN 32-bit

​ ​ 1. Create a working directory of runoob01

The so-called runoob01 directory is actually the place where you usually store your work files. Usually we wait until we have completed a section of our work before backing up. So we usually work under the runoob01 directory, and wait until the appropriate time to commit to the repository. For example, we want to create a directory named runoob01 under the D drive. First create this directory.

2. Enter the created directory, right-click on the blank space (you can click on the icon of the MyWork directory, or enter the MyWork directory and click on the blank space), and select SVN checkout

3. Then you can see the following screen:

                                                                                                                      The first thing we have to fill in is the location of the repository (version library). For SVN, the location of the repository is the URL.

4. Next, take a look at the Checkout directory. This field should point to your runoob01 directory.

5. After confirmation, press the OK button and you should see the following information window.

6. This means the action is completed. After pressing the OK button, go to the directory you just created. You will see that there is an additional directory named .svn under the MyWork directory (this directory is hidden, if your file administrator has not set it to see hidden directories, you will not be able to see it).

If you want to checkout the above file on an existing SVN Server, you only need to give the correct SVN URL and the name of the directory to be checked out. You can obtain the specified files and directories.
