MinGW installation steps

​ ​ 1. After downloading MinGW from this site, get a compressed package locally on your computer. After decompressing it using 360 compression software, double-click the .exe file to enter.

​​​2. Download the installation file or just download, you can decide according to your own needs, click [Next] after the selection is completed.

​​​3. Enter the MinGW installation protocol interface and click [I Agree].

​​​4. Select a MinGW package to install, previous (previous), current (current), candidate (candidate), you can choose yourself, click [Next] after the selection is completed.

​​​5. Select the MinGW installer. The editor recommends that the default is enough, and then click [Next].

​​​6. Select the MinGW installation location. You can click [next] and the software will be installed automatically. Or you can click [Browse], and in the pop-up installation location interface, you can select the MinGW installation location. After the selection is completed, click [next].

​​​7. Prepare to install MinGW. Click [Install] to start installing the software. You need to wait patiently for the software installation to complete.

How to use MinGW

​​​MinGW sets environment variables.

​​ 1. Right-click on My Computer and select [Properties] from the pop-up options.

​​​2. After opening the properties window, click the [Advanced] selection at the top, and then click [Environment Variables]

​​​3. After opening the environment variable window, find the [path] path in the system environment variable, and modify the variable value in the path path; C:MinGWbin will do.Note: semicolon is the semicolon in English.

​​​4. Press WIN+R to open the run window, enter cmd and press Enter to open the administrator interface and enter gcc -v. If no error is reported, the software configuration is successful.
