Ebook, the official version of my e-book, is a text reading tool designed based on VC++. Ebook features a book-like humanized interface, which is a perfect combination of traditional books and electronic novels. Ebook my e-book installation instructions

​ ​ 1. Download my Ebook e-book from Huajun Software Park and get a software compressed package.

​ ​ 2. We need to decompress the software compressed package and get the ebook.exe application.

3. Finally, we double-click to open the ebook.exe application and you can use it directly.

Ebook My e-book Getting Started Guide

Step 1: Press the "-" key on the computer keyboard, and you will find that the interface shrinks. Then, press the "=" key, and you will find that the interface is enlarged.

Step 2: (Reminder before operation: the direction key "← key" can return to this page) Please press the "space" key on the keyboard. You will find that the book has turned to the next page. Press again on the keyboard. The direction key "← key" turns to the previous page again. Isn't it very simple?

Step 3: Right-click the mouse anywhere on the interface, and the right-click menu will pop up. Most operations of this software are completed through the right-click menu.

Note: If the software interface occupies the entire screen and is not fully displayed, please press the "-" key on the keyboard and press it several times to shrink the software interface until it can be fully displayed. (This may happen when using a netbook.)

​ 1. Open a text file or html web page file

​​ ​​You can activate the pop-up menu by right-clicking the mouse anywhere on the software interface. In this menu, click [Open New Book...], browse and select a txt or html file to view as a new book. Another way to open a book: Open [My Computer], find a txt or html file you want to read, and drag and drop it onto the software interface with the mouse.

2. Turn to the next or previous page:

Use the left and right arrow keys on the keyboard to turn pages (the "← key" is the previous page, the "→ key" and "space bar" are the next page).

Move the mouse to the blank space on the left and right sides of the text part (commonly known as the "book edge" or "page cheek"). When the icon prompts "previous page" and "next page" appear, press the left mouse button to complete page turning. It's very similar to "turning the page" when reading.

3. Turn to a certain page:

If you want to turn to any page in the book, you can use the left button of the mouse to click on the flippable part outside the edge of the book (commonly known as the "book edge") - the target page number is smaller than the current page number, click on the left edge of the book, otherwise click on the right, for details Which page to turn to is determined by the relative position of the mouse click at the edge of the book.

4. List of recently read books

Activate the pop-up menu, and you can see the menu item [Recently Viewed], which is an expandable menu. After expansion, you can see the paths of the five recently opened files. The top file is the last opened file. Simply click on an item to open the file immediately. Click [Clear Record] to clear the list and start recording again. If [Clear List on Exit] is checked, the file list will be automatically cleared when the program exits. If other people may use your computer and you don’t want others to know what books you have read recently, please check this options.

5. Intelligent opening

​ ​ Activate the pop-up menu, you can see the menu item [Smart On], which is an expandable menu. When you open a file, this software will automatically analyze the file name and find files that may be related to it. For example, if you open "Lin Hai Xue Yuan - Middle.txt", this software will automatically analyze that the book may be divided into three volumes: "Part One", "Middle" and "Part Two", then "Lin Hai Xue Yuan - Part One.txt" "Lin Hai Xue Yuan" "Snowfield - Next.txt" may be the previous volume or the next volume. These two books will be automatically displayed in the [Smart Open] list, and the file can be opened with one click. If no file related to the current file is found, the [Smart Open] item will not be displayed.

6. A book I just read

If you click the [Help] menu, the menu [Just Read] will be displayed to help you jump back to the original book and continue reading.

7. Refresh

Reopen the current file. If you use Notepad to modify the current file, click [Refresh] to reopen the current file and see the modified effects.

8. View clipboard

Click [View Clipboard] to automatically open the clipboard text as a book. This is especially useful when reading web e-books. You only need to select the text on the web page, copy the text, and then click [View Clipboard] on the interface of this software.

9. Bookmark function

Click [Insert Bookmark] to record the current page number as a bookmark. Later, expand [Jump to Bookmark] and select that bookmark to quickly return to the page number.

10. Skin changing function

Expand the [Skin Change] menu. Several skins have been preset in the software. Click directly to activate the new interface. The software will also remember the settings, and the skin you selected will still be the next time you start it. Of course, the preset skins cannot meet the preferences of all users, so you can also make your own skins. The production method is very simple. Select a Bmp picture with a ratio of 800X600, preferably one that is more elegant and brighter. If the picture is too dark and too complex to see the text clearly, use image processing software to process it. It is best to do a gamma correction. Advanced users can add a layer to create a book seam effect in the middle of the book. Then click [Select a custom background image] and select the Bmp image you created.

11. Shell function

Expand the [Shell] menu and click [Open with Notepad] to open the current file with Notepad. This feature is useful when you find typos in a file that need to be corrected. Click [Open with associated program] to open the current file with an associated program. For example, for a web page file, the default browser will be called to open it. Clicking [Open the folder where the file is located], as the name suggests, will call the resource manager and open the folder where the file is located. [View encoding information], you can view the file path, size, encoding method, etc. This software supports reading of multiple encoding files. The encoding methods can be: ANSI, Unicode, Unicode Big Endian, UTF-8, etc.

12. Description and About box

What you are looking at is the description of this software. Click [Description] and this document will automatically open. Click [About] and you will see the copyright information, official website address, etc. of this software.

13. Mobile books

Move the mouse to the part of the book with text, hold down the left button, and then move the mouse to move the book to any position. Or you can move books by holding down the Ctrl key and using the cursor keys and PgUp, PgDn, Home, End, etc. keys. The e-BOOK automatically displays in the center when it is started. If you move it to another place in the future, you can press the space bar at any time to restore it to the center.

14. Download e-book

Expand the right-click menu and select [Download e-books]. A sidebar window will open next to the software. After a moment, the window will display a list of e-books for you to download. Note: This function requires an Internet connection. If your computer is not connected to the Internet, the e-book list cannot be displayed in this window.

15. Catalog browsing and current book information.

Expand the right-click menu and select [Download e-book], a sidebar window will open next to the software. Click the tab of the sidebar window to switch to [Directory Browsing] and [Current Book Information] states. If there are many fragmented and small text files stored in a folder, it will be very convenient to use the [Directory Browse] function. Press [Click] to switch to the mode of single-click to open the file, and press it again to switch to the mode of double-click to open the file. [Set root] is used to enter a directory, [Restore root] restores the tree view.

[Current book information] will automatically search for the cover image in the opened book directory, and if found, the cover will be displayed. (The search rules are as follows: first search for file names in the file directory + For the image file "face", if it is not found, look for files named "face.jpg", "face.gif" and "face.bmp" in the directory. If neither is found, it will display "No cover yet". For example: reading C:mybooknovel.txt then if

16. Share this software with friends

17. Exit this software

Click [Exit] to exit this software. If you are reading a book, you do not need to insert a bookmark before exiting the software. The software has an "automatic bookmark" function, which does not require any operation. When you exit the software, the "automatic bookmark" will automatically start working and record the files and locations you viewed. The next time you open this software, it will automatically open the file you last viewed and jump to the page number you viewed last time.
