FinalRecovery installation tutorial

Installation tutorial:

1. Unzip and download the installation package of the finalrecovery tool, and click "Next" in the pop-up window.

2. Read the software installation agreement and click [Next].

3. Next, select the target location for the final recovery software. The default software is installed on the C drive. We try to choose a customized installation. Click the "Browse" button to select a folder other than the system disk and click OK. As shown below:

4. After changing the installation path, return to the "Select Target Location" interface and you will see that the path box has been changed to the folder we just set. Click Next to continue the installation;

5. Then we select the folder to create a shortcut for final recovery. The default is in the following path of the start menu. You can click the "Browse" button to select other folders. Of course, you can also not create a Start Menu folder, just check the "Do not create a Start Menu folder" option below. You can set this step by yourself, but here I will continue the installation in the default way. Click "Next" to continue the installation;

6. Select Additional Tasks - there are two options: create a shortcut on the desktop and create a shortcut in the Quick Launch Bar. You can choose this by yourself. If you don’t need it, don’t check it. Click "Next" to continue the installation;

7. Prepare to install, check the content you have just set and selected for the software, and click "Install" to continue the installation after checking it is correct;

8. Waiting for installation, please wait patiently~~

9. After the installation is completed, the following interface will appear. You can click to check "Run Now" and then click "Finish" to experience the final recovery software immediately.

How to use the Chinese version of FinalRecovery

1. After the user scans the files that need to be recovered, select the folder where the data that needs to be recovered is located in the left pane of the finalrecovery tool and use the FinalRecovery software to advanced recover the lost data.

2. The [Select Directory] dialog box will pop up, in which click the [Browse] button on the right to use the FinalRecovery tool to advancedly recover lost data.

3. The [Browse for Folder] dialog box pops up, select the save location for data recovery in the middle drop-down list box, and use FinalRecovery software to recover lost data.

4. Click the [OK] button to return to the [Select Directory] dialog box, which displays the set save location, and use FinalRecovery software to advancedly recover lost data.

5. Click the [OK] button. After performing the operation, the data recovery information is displayed in the lower pane of the window and prompts that the recovery has been completed. Use the FinalRecovery software to recover the lost data advancedly.

6. Wait for a moment, and the corresponding folder window will pop up, which displays the file object just recovered. Use FinalRecovery software to advancedly recover lost data.

Precautions for the Chinese version of FinalRecovery

1. Do not cut the file. We often encounter customers cutting a directory to another disk, but an error occurs in the middle. The directory on the source disk does not exist, and the data is not copied into the target disk. This seems to be a system BUG that occurs occasionally. Therefore, we recommend that if the data is important, then copy the data to the target disk first, and then delete the directory files in the source disk if there are no problems, so as not to save trouble and cause data loss.

2. For partitions with a lot of directory files, do not defragment the disk directly. Because errors may occur during disk defragmentation, it will be difficult to recover the data if an error occurs. We recommend that you copy the data to another disk, format the disk that needs to be defragmented, and then copy the data back.

3. Do not use third-party tools to resize partitions. It is also easy to make mistakes during the process of resizing the partition (such as power outage, etc.). Once an error occurs, it is difficult to recover because the data is moved around and overwritten, and the damage is serious. It is recommended to back up the data before repartitioning, and then use the disk management that comes with Windows to partition the partition, which is more secure.

4. Back up data regularly to ensure data security. Backup should be done on a disk, which is safer than storing it on a hard drive.
