​​ 1. How to change the size of the canvas?

​ ​ TL;DR-Double click on the "Camera Layer".

Pencil2D has an infinite canvas, and the bright rectangle in the middle is the camera, which is the preview area when exporting animations to videos and images. So double-clicking on the camera layer actually changes the size of the camera, not the size of the canvas. You can draw outside the camera bounds and move the camera around on the infinite canvas, setting keyframes for the camera's position on the timeline.

​​ 2. Someone told me that I can export GIF, but I can’t seem to find this option?

Use the dedicated GIF export operation command: "File" > "Export" > "GIF Animation..." > "Export Options" dialog

​ ​ In the export options, click Browse to name your file (and make sure the file type is appended to the name)

3. Can I copy and paste specific content from one frame to another in Pencil2D?

Yes, to copy part or the entire drawing, you can use the selection tool (click box) to select a portion of the drawing and then press CTRL + C. Conversely, you can also do this by pressing CTRL + XCut selected artwork.

After copying or cutting the artwork, go to the new frame you have created or create one now and press CTRL + V, then paste the selected artwork in place.

4. Can I flip/mirror my drawings?

Yes, in version 0.6.0 and above, you can flip the graph vertically or horizontally.

​ ​ If you want to flip the VIEW (meaning you only mirror the way the canvas is displayed), you can use the menu command:

View > Flip horizontally (Shift + H) View > Flip vertically (Shift + V)

If you want to flip/mirror the ARTWORK permanently, you can do the following:

​ ​ 1) Select the Selection Tool (V) 2) Select the artwork you want to mirror 3) With the selection still visible, use the menu command:

Edit>Select>Flip X/Flip Y
