The official version of FanControl is a simple and easy-to-use computer fan speed control tool. The latest version of FanControl (computer fan control software) can help users easily check the operation of the computer's GPU and CPU fans and reduce the CPU temperature. FanControl software is small in size and has an intuitive interface. Users can customize fan parameters to increase the service life of the computer.
FanControl software features
1. Customized fan curve
2. Fine-tune fan control response through steps, activation percentage, response time and hysteresis
3. Mix different curves with sensors
4. Modern UI in dashboard style
5. Configure background applications with customizable taskbar icons
6. Create a customized external temperature sensor using *.sensor files.
7. Save, edit and load multiple configuration files
8. Multiple temperature sources (CPU, GPU, motherboard, hard drive, sensor file)
FanControl Instructions for Use
1. Unzip the FanControl_85.zip compressed package and double-click FanControl.exe to open the software.
There are three functions on the interface, Controls and Speeds.
2. Speeds function
The boxes in Speeds represent all the fans in the current system.
In my system, the first box is the GPU fan speed (the current version has a BUG and fails to read the speed); the second box is the CPU fan speed; the third, fourth, and fifth boxes are the three SYS_FAN of the motherboard.
Corresponding rotation speed;
(By default, Fan #1, Fan #2, Fan #3... are displayed, and renaming will be more beautiful)
Linear: linear function based on temperature
Figure: Custom curve based on temperature
Goal: Based on temperature, maintain speed until target temperature is reached
Blending: Use two different curves and apply a blending function (minimum, maximum, sum, average)
Synchronization: Synchronize to existing controls
Fixed: Set a fixed percentage
3. Controls function
Controls are responsible for associating Speeds with Curves
Seven Controls correspond to seven Speeds. Although there is no one-to-one correspondence requirement in terms of positions, I still matched them up.
Click Control in the upper right corner of Settings and Select matching fan to bind the fan.
The parameters of Control are also easy to understand:
Enable: switch
Fan curve: speed rule, just select the previously configured one
Offset: offset parameter, used to balance the speed of multiple fans to make them as equal as possible
Just keep the default
(By default, Fan Control #1, Fan Control #2, Fan Control #3... are displayed, and renaming will be more beautiful)
Curves function
When you open it for the first time, there are no Curves. Curves are speed rules that we need to manually set.
Click the plus sign in the lower right corner to add rules. Linear or Graph are easy to configure.
4. Curves function
Manually set speed rules
The Graph rules in the graph mean:
When the temperature is 0 ~ 40 degrees C, the rotation speed is maintained at 35%
When the temperature is 40 ~ 80 degrees C, the rotation speed is maintained at 35% ~ 80%
When the temperature is 80 degrees C ~ 100 degrees C, the rotation speed is maintained at 80%
Hysteresis and Response time are related to setting sensitivity and response speed. It is OK to keep the default settings. Temperature source The temperature source is set to
GPU graphics card.
5. Left column
The left column will not be translated, just check it all for the sake of elegance.
6. Start up
If you want to start it at startup, just open the hamburger menu in the upper left corner of the startup option, select start minimized, and then send the shortcut to the startup.
Fan Control FAQ
What should I do if the software cannot recognize the fan?
Verify that the fan is properly connected to the motherboard or power supply.
Check the motherboard's BIOS settings to make sure fan control is enabled.
Try updating your motherboard's BIOS or drivers to improve compatibility.
