The test papers are divided into 3 categories, which are applicable to central government agencies and provincial-level comprehensive management positions, municipal and prefecture-level and lower comprehensive management positions, and administrative law enforcement positions.

Professional subject written examination:

8 non-common language positions (Japanese, French, Russian, etc.): A foreign language proficiency test will be conducted from 14:00 to 16:00 on November 29, and the score will account for 50% of the combined written test score.

People's police positions in the General Administration of Financial Supervision, the China Securities Regulatory Commission and the public security organs: Additional examinations for professional subjects will be held from 14:00 to 16:00 on November 29, with scores accounting for 50%, 50%, and 30% respectively.

Exam location: It will be held simultaneously in all municipalities, provincial capitals, autonomous region capitals and some cities across the country. Candidates can choose the test city when registering.

3. Important policy adjustments and application conditions

Age restrictions relaxed:

The upper age limit for general candidates is adjusted from 35 to 38 years old (born between October 1986 and October 2007).

The age limit for fresh master's and doctoral candidates in 2026 is relaxed to under 43 years old (born after October 1981).

Highlight political criteria:

The practical test has a separate "political theory" section, focusing on testing the ability to analyze and solve problems using the party's innovative theories. In the inspection process, the review of political quality, moral character and other aspects will be strengthened.

Grassroots orientation and preference for fresh graduates:

About 26,000 plans are open to fresh college graduates, 28,000 plans are supplemented to directly affiliated institutions at the county (district) level and below, and more than 3,000 plans are targeted at recruiting grassroots project personnel and retired college soldiers.

For grass-roots positions in difficult and remote areas, the academic and professional thresholds can be appropriately lowered, but candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of service.

Other restrictions:

Active-duty military personnel, current non-graduate students, and serving civil servants are not allowed to apply; those who have been criminally punished, expelled from the party, or listed as targets of joint punishment for breach of trust are not allowed to apply.

Applicants are required to avoid leadership positions with which they have a marital relationship, direct blood relatives, etc.

4. Exam preparation and job selection suggestions

Science Test Prep Strategies:

The practical test focuses on breakthroughs in modules such as "Political Theory" and "Data Analysis", and the application and discussion are combined with current political hot spots to improve analytical capabilities.

Candidates applying for special positions (such as non-lingua franca, public security) need to prepare for professional subject examinations in advance.

Precise job selection skills:

Prioritize positions that fully match academic qualifications, majors, and grassroots experience to reduce competition. For example, "computer major + fresh graduates" can focus on positions marked "restricted to fresh graduates".

Carefully choose popular positions that "recruit 1 person" and have a competition ratio exceeding 100:1. You can also consider recruiting positions with a larger number of people and moderate competition to improve the success rate.

Pay attention to the information in the "Remarks" column of the position, such as whether a physical fitness test is required, service period restrictions, etc., to avoid omissions in details that may affect your application.

5. Things to note

Apply in good faith: Submitted materials must be true and accurate. Those who falsify information will be disqualified and held legally responsible.

Time node management: It is recommended to complete the registration as early as possible to avoid network congestion or failure to pass the review in the last two days, resulting in the inability to re-register.

Official information channels: For the latest updates, please refer to the “Special Website for Civil Servants Recruited by Central Agencies and Directly Affiliated Agencies in 2026 Examination” and the National Civil Service Bureau’s announcement.

This national examination is a large-scale recruitment in recent years, and the policy adjustment reflects the importance of diversified needs for talents and grassroots governance. It is recommended that candidates make reasonable plans based on their own conditions, actively prepare for the exam, and seize opportunities.
