two,Router settings
1. Change administrator password
First, you need to change the administrator password to enhance the security of the router. In the router management interface, find the option to change the administrator password and enter the old password and new password.
2. Set up wireless network
If the router supports wireless networks, you need to set parameters such as the name of the wireless network (SSID), encryption method, and password. In the router management interface, find the option to set up wireless network and set it as needed.
3. Set up port mapping
If you need to access a device on the local network from the Internet, you need to set up port mapping. In the router management interface, find the option to set port mapping, select the port number to be mapped and the IP address of the target device.
4. Set up a virtual server
If you need to access a service in the local network from the Internet, you need to set up a virtual server. In the router management interface, find the option to set up a virtual server, select the port number to be opened and the IP address of the target device.
5. Set QoS
If there are multiple devices in the network using the network at the same time, QoS (Quality of Service) needs to be set to ensure reasonable allocation of network bandwidth. In the router management interface, find the option to set QoS and set it as needed.
6. Set up firewall
The router's firewall protects the local network from attacks from the Internet. In the router management interface, find the option to set up the firewall and set it as needed.
7. Update router firmware
Router firmware is constantly updated to fix bugs and enhance functionality. In the router management interface, find the option to update firmware, download the latest firmware and update the router.
