Recently, many friends have asked me how to use the Dwarf DOS toolbox to restore the system? So today I will share with you how to use the Dwarf DOS toolbox to restore the system. Friends who are not sure about it can learn it. I hope it can help. to everyone.
1. First download the latest dwarf DOS toolbox from this site
2. First, make sure all important files on your C drive have been backed up to other disks. Make sure you have enough disk space to store the image file (at least the space of all used files on the C drive). Make sure you know that the file system format of your disk is FAT32 or NTFS. Make sure you have made relevant preparations.
3. Restart your computer.
4. Before you enter the system, two system startup options will appear at the top of your screen with white text on a black background.
WINDOWSXP starts normally, and the second is my DOS toolbox below
5. Choose to enter my DOS toolbox. After entering, there will be a Chinese menu selection, mainly the first two items "1. Dwarf Studio DOS Toolbox 2. GHOST 8.2 Wizard Toolbox".
When you get here, the operation interface is all in Chinese. Here you can choose the GHOST 8.2 wizard tool tray.
6. There are multiple options after entering the GHOST tool disk, as shown below
Backup operation:
1 One-click backup system, supports NTFS (if your file system is in NTFS format, please select this option)
3 Fully automatic backup system, FAT32 only (please select this if your file system is in FAT32 format)
After selecting, there will be a Chinese prompt as shown in the picture.
Here you usually select the first hard drive. If necessary, you can also install dual hard drives and back up to the second hard drive. After selecting the first hard drive, the next operation interface will appear as shown in the figure.
This may mean that your system disk will be made into an image file. The file name is bak.gho. It is stored in the directory of the D drive by default. You can find this file after entering WINDOWS.
NOTE: Do not move this file or folder.
Restore operation:
What this means is that after you back up the system with one click, your image file bak.gho is backed up in the specified directory on the D drive. At this time, the software directly extracts the image file from the specified directory to restore the system drive C drive.
2 One-click system recovery, supports NTFS (if your file system is in NTFS format, please select this option)
4 Fully automatic recovery system, FAT32 only (please select this if your file system is in FAT32 format)
5. Start GHOST version 8.2 and perform manual operation.
If you select this option, you will directly enter GHOST8.2, and you can perform your system backup and restore as described above.
off out to remember to see the drive letter where you placed and restore the image file, and then use the TAB key to select.
Tip: Items 6 and 7 are not recommended for beginners.
The above is the method shared by the editor to restore the system using the Dwarf DOS toolbox. Friends in need can take a look.
