The installation process of XAMPP is very simple (the example .exe installation process, unzipping the package, etc. is even simpler, actually tested in Windows 7 environment). After double-clicking, two warnings will pop up, one for UAC and one for the firewall. Just confirm to continue.
1. Welcome interface, click Next
Select the installation components, install them all, default them all, click Next to continue.
For the installation path, it is best to place it on the D drive. It is not recommended to put it on the system disk. Especially early XAMPP versions may install Program files by default and may need to modify the write permissions in Vista and Windows 7. As shown in the picture below (just select the drive, the installation program will automatically create the xampp directory), and then click Next.
Confirm Next again and wait for the installation to complete.
The installation completion interface is as follows. In the picture, there is Do you want to start the Control Panel now, which means start it now.
Click Finish to complete the installation.
