Xiaohongsan is a very easy-to-use anti-virus software, but sometimes when Xiaohongsan updates a new virus database, many people don’t know how to update it. Just open Xiaohongsan and click Start update to update Xiaohongsan. The virus database is there, let’s take a look at it with the editor.
Xiaohongsan’s method of updating the virus database:
Double-click the "little red umbrella" in the tray icon (it is a small red icon with an umbrella shape on it).
Then, an English interface will pop up, as shown in the figure.
Check the date after "last update" on the left side of the anti-virus taskbar. If it is today's date, the virus database remains up-to-date and does not need to be updated;
If it's not today's date, click the "Start update" button in the menu bar.
Then a program called "updater" will pop up. There is a blue task process scroll bar below, and the remaining time and other update information are displayed above the scroll bar. You can minimize the window at this point and wait patiently.
After the update is completed, the window will change to the system interface as shown in the figure, and will automatically close after seconds.
In this way, the English version of the Xiaohongsan anti-virus software has successfully updated the virus database.
