Company name

A company refers to an enterprise legal person that is generally established in accordance with the law, has independent legal person property, and is for the purpose of profit. According to the current Chinese Company Law (2005), its two main forms are limited liability company and joint stock company. Both types of companies are legal persons (Article 36 of the General Principles of the Civil Code), and investors are protected by limited liability. The word "company" is native to China. It first came from Confucius's "Datong" and "Leci Zhuan": "The public means the wealth of several people, and the division means the operation." Zhuangzi said: "Accumulating shortcomings and making them high, combining small ones to make big ones, and merging them into public ones is called a 'company.'" Its meaning is roughly the same as that of modern companies, that is, a company means gathering the wealth of many people and operating together.
