Japanese, referred to as Japanese, is a script mainly used by the Wazu people on the Japanese archipelago and is the official language of Japan. Its language family is controversial. Some people think it can be classified into the Altaic language family, while some Japanese scholars think it is an isolated language, Fuyu language family or Japanese language family. Outside Japan, Japanese is mainly spoken by Japanese immigrants from Central and South America (Brazil, Peru, Bolivia, Dominican Republic, Paraguay, etc.) and Hawaii. However, many of them no longer speak Japanese after three or four generations.
