The OSI model has a 7-layer structure, and each layer can have several sub-layers. Security gateways have firewalls on both the application layer and the network layer. Security gateways such as antivirus walls act on the second layer. According to the seven-layer level restriction, high-level protocols can control low-level protocols, and the development of security gateways is moving towards high-level protocols.
