Later versions of AutoCAD (2010, 2009, etc.) added the "FTP site" and "Buzzsaw" options, which we rarely use in daily life, but they may cause inexplicable problems in some cases. For example, when the "Server" service is stopped, they will cause the "New", "Save", "Save As" and other menus to be clicked only once after installation, and clicking again will cause AutoCAD to die immediately. This tool provides you with solutions to avoid this problem and remove them from the save dialog box if you wish.
In the latest versions such as AutoCAD2009 and AutoCAD2010, sometimes there will be a situation like this: "New", "Open", "Save", "Export" and other file-related menus can only be clicked once after the installation is completed. (Use it once), clicking it again will make AutoCAD immediately unresponsive. Restarting AutoCAD or even restarting the computer will not work.
In this case, if you uninstall and reinstall AutoCAD, these menus will work normally again, and then continue to cause AutoCAD to become unresponsive.
In the latest version of AutoCAD, network save modes such as "FTP site" and "Buzzsaw" have been added to the save dialog box. Among them, "FTP site" is the main cause of this problem. This component depends on the Server service of the system. When the "Server" service in the system does not start normally, it will cause AutoCAD to become unresponsive, and this unresponsiveness is irreversible. Even if you go back and start the Server service again, AutoCAD The status cannot be restored.

The reasons why the Server service cannot be started are:
After optimizing the system, set the Server service to start manually or disable startup (note: AutoCAD will not automatically start this service)
The "Microsoft File and Printer Sharing" service (or similar service) is not installed in the properties of "Local Area Connection" (or similar), or it is installed but not checked, causing the Server service to fail to start.
There are two main ways to solve the problem:
1. Start the Server service (and set it to start automatically)
1. Confirm that the "Microsoft File and Printer Sharing" service has been installed and checked in the properties of your "Local Area Connection" (or similar network connection)
2. Right-click on "My Computer" and select "Manage". Find "Services" in the directory on the left, and then confirm in the right window that the "Server" service is set to "Automatic Start" and has been started.
2. Delete the FTPSites extension in AutoCAD (recommended, once and for all)
1. Open the start menu, click "Run" (or press Win+R, or click "File" - "Run" in the task manager), enter "regedit" and confirm (press Enter)
2. Search for "FileNavExtensions". When the path found is similar to the following format: "HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareAutodeskAutoCADR18.0ACAD-8001:804FileNavExtensions" (the middle number may vary from person to person), find FTPSites on the right and delete it. If you want to remove Buzzsaw at the same time, find "ACPROJECT" on the right and delete it.

Reminder: This tool cannot automatically handle the situation where the "Server" service cannot be started.
