Bad sectors specialize in MHDD

Same as above, first press SHIFT+F3 to scan the hard disk connection and select it, press F4 key, first use the normal mode to scan more than ten times, and then use the advanced mode to scan for changes. The specific method is to select ON the Loop the test/repair option in the normal mode and perform the scan. After scanning at least 10 times, exit with ESC, repeat the operation, select advanced mode to scan, OK! ! !

Is the above method correct? It seems that the repair of No. and W bad sectors is not perfect yet. Now we use some commands of MHDD for assistance and cooperation. IBM, Fujitsu, and Western Digital can check hard disk defects. It is best to execute commands such as IBME and FUJLST first, and then execute Scan in normal mode, scan to W or? For these hard-to-repair bad sectors, press ESC to exit. Use the randombad and makebad commands to mark the bad sectors. Repeat the operation. If there are many bad sectors, you can mark the bad sector segments. After marking, perform an advanced mode scan. There is also a method to modify the hard disk capacity. For example, IBM's low-format program has an item that can change the hard disk capacity. Friends who know low-format should know this. Here, everyone first changes the hard disk capacity to the minimum (the minimum here is not 0M or 1M, but the full hundred M bits of the total hard disk capacity, for example, 10G is changed to 100M, 20G is changed to 200M), and then scanned with MHDD repair

Then use MHDD's rhpa and nhpa to restore the actual capacity and scan again. After that, change it to half the hard disk capacity, continue scanning, restore the capacity scan, and finally change the hard disk to its original size and perform an advanced scan again. OK~! ! ! Moreover, MHDD can be used together with many repair software, and the effect is quite good.

You can use HDDREG, HDDL, HDDSPEED well with MHDD. There are more methods waiting for everyone to study.

aerase command: You can perform sector-by-sector clearing, but the speed will be very slow.

rhpa and nhpa commands: can display and restore the full real capacity of the hard disk respectively.

aam command: You can switch the performance and noise status of the hard disk. There are 127 levels (0 ~ 126) of status available for setting. "126" means the highest performance, but the hard disk has the highest noise at this time. Note that the aam command requires the hard disk to support AutomaticAcousticManagement technology.

rpm command: can detect the hard disk speed, but some hard disks do not support this command.

Randombad and makebad commands: can forcibly add bad sector marks to some sectors of the hard disk.

ibme and fujlst commands: You can view the hard drive defect lists of IBM and Fujitsu respectively.

pwd, unlock and dispwd commands: You can unlock the hard disk. This way of adding a password to the hard disk is very strange, but don’t forget the password (if you really forget or can’t solve it, you can use the HDLOCK hard disk lock to lock the hard disk again. Once, and then use its own UNLOCK and DISPWD to decrypt, a dead horse is treated as a living horse doctor)

　　MHDD method to repair bad sectors on hard disk

After connecting the hard disk, we enter DOS and run mhdd. First, let's take a look at entering the mhdd4.0 interface; Figure 1

At this time we did not see any IBM hard disk, we need to enter the port command to select the port; see Figure 2:

We see that the hard disk that needs to be repaired is connected to the 8th port, so we enter 8 and press Enter at this time, and press F2 to display the model, as shown in Figure 3:

We can use the mhdd repair bad sector software to scan and see the bad sectors. Press F4 twice and the software will automatically detect it (this process will not change any status). When bad sectors are encountered, they will be marked with a red X, as shown in Figure 4:

We see there are bad sectors somewhere in 0.1%.

The following will tell you how to repair these bad sectors. Press F4 and see Figure 5.

Then move the cursor to Remap on the menu that appears. We see that the right display is OFF, then we press Enter and it turns ON, which means turning on the repair function.

When we install F4 again, the software detects bad sectors and starts repairing them (see Figure 6).

After it is repaired, we will check it again. The bad sectors are gone. See Figure 7
