Introduction to pctools

① Start with the Windows 98/Me startup disk, run DE.EXE in the Pctools9.0 directory, first enter the Options menu, select Configuration, press the space to remove the hook in front of Read Only (press the Tab key to switch) , save and exit;
②Then select Drive in the Select menu;
​ ​ ③After entering, select Physical in the Drive type item, press the space button to select, then press the Tall key to switch to the Drives item, select Hard disk, then select OK and press Enter;
​ ​ ④ Then return to the main menu, open the Select menu, and the Partition Table will appear. Select and enter, and then the hard disk partition table information will appear;
⑤ If the hard disk has two partitions, and the l partition is the C drive, which starts from the 0 cylinder of the hard disk, then just change the 0 of the Beginning Cylinder (starting cylinder) of the 1 partition to 1;
⑥Save and exit;
​ ​ ⑦Restart, press the Delete key to enter the COMS settings, select "IDE AUTO DETECT", you can see that CYLS is reduced by 1 compared to the original, save and exit, repartition, format, and you are done.

pctools notes

There are a lot of files in the compressed file after downloading. You may need to spend time to find the running program of this tool. As long as you look for the bat format file, you can narrow down the scope and find PCTOOLS.BAT.
