The ACR38 smart card reader complies with ISO-7816 and EMV Level 1 standards. It supports ISO-7816 Class A, B and C (5V, 3V and 1.8V) cards, which includes all microprocessor cards containing T=0 and T=1 protocols, as well as most ordinary memory cards on the market.

ACR38 also provides an optional built-in secure access module (SAM) - ACR38U-SAM, which supports various high-security applications. It is also available in different housing designs. In addition, ACR38 has another module form, namely ACM38.
