DFT (Drive Fitness Test), this software was previously a hard disk testing software launched by IBM for IBM hard disks. After Hitachi acquired the IBM hard disk business, the software became Hitachi's hard disk health testing software. After Hitachi was acquired by Western Digital, this software was marked with the Western Digital imprint.

Windows Drive Fitness Test, from its name we can understand that this software is a DFT testing software running under Windows system. This software can run on Win XP/Vista/7/8 32-bit/64-bit system.

After opening the software, it will automatically detect the hard disk in the system. The software can detect hard disks with IDE and USB interfaces, but it cannot detect the hard disk currently being used by the system. Therefore, the software is not suitable for users with a single hard disk.
