MACCollector

MACCollector is a powerful MAC address scanning collector with fast speed and high efficiency. It is an auxiliary tool for WFilter (super sniffing dog). The MAC address collector can not only easily scan and collect a large number of MAC addresses, but also assist WFilter (super sniffer dog) in monitoring MAC addresses in a multi-network segment environment. The MAC address collector can send the MAC address information within the network segment to the WFilter monitoring server to achieve MAC address monitoring.

MAC address collector installation steps

1. After downloading the MAC address collector compressed package from this site, use 360 compression software to decompress it, double-click the .exe file to enter the software installation voice selection interface, and click [OK].

2. Enter the MAC address collector installation interface and click [Next] to continue the installation.

3. Fill in the WFilter server information, set parameters such as the working network card, and then click [Next]

4. Select the installation location of the MAC address collector. You can click [Browse]. In the window that opens, you can select the software installation location. After completing the selection, click [Next].

5. The MAC address collector is being installed, you need to wait patiently for the installation to complete.

6. When the MAC address collector installation is completed, click [Finish] to exit the software installation.

MAC address collector usage instructions

2. Just fill in the server IP and service port of WFilter during installation.

MAC address collector working mode

SNMP mode (recommended): Obtain MAC address information through the SNMP function of the network management switch or router. The device needs to support SNMP management.

ARP mode: Obtain the MAC address information of this network segment through the ARP protocol, and does not require device support.
