Famicom: The English name Family Computer (referred to as FC or FAMICOM) is Nintendo's first-generation home game console released by Nintendo. There are two types of FC. The Japanese version is smaller, with a mainly red and white body, and is commonly known as the "Famicom"; the other is larger, with a mainly gray body, and is called in Europe and America (Nintendo Entertainment System, or NES for short).

The Nintendo Famicom (FC/NES) was released in 1983. It caused quite a stir after its release in Japan.
