Unable to connect to server:

Check whether the network connection is normal and make sure the Mac can access itInternet.

Initialization failed: If the prompt "Initialization failed, please try to reinstall" appears, it may be because the EasyConnect daemon is prohibited from starting. At this time, you can use tools such as Tencent to check and enable the startup items of the daemon process.

Loading failure: When "Loading failed, please try refreshing and trying again" is displayed after logging in, you can try clearing the browsercache, Uninstall and reinstall the EasyConnect client, and check whether the browser plug-in settings allow EasyConnect to run.

How to connect to the external network with EasyConnect

Basic function limitations: EasyConnect is mainly used for connectionIntranetResources (such as company OA, campus network systems) cannot directly access the external network by default.

Special scenario plan:

Technical users: run EasyConnect in isolation through a Docker container and map ports to achieve simultaneous access to VPN and external networks (technical operations required, at your own risk).

Administrator configuration: Some companies or schools allow VPN diversion (only intranet traffic goes through VPN), and you need to contact the IT department to enable this permission.

How to register an account with EasyConnect

How to obtain an account:

Business/school users:Account numberIt is uniformly assigned by the administrator and is usually bound to the work number and student number. Applications need to be submitted through the OA system or the school's official website.

Individual users: Individuals cannot register on their own and need to contact the IT department of their institution to obtain account information.

How to change password on EasyConnect

Client modification:

After logging in, click "Settings" in the upper right corner of the client → "Modify"Password”, enter the old password and new password to complete the modification.

Forgot password reset:

Click "Forgot Password" on the login interface, receive the verification code through the bound email or mobile phone number, and follow the prompts to reset the password.

Mandatory modification upon first login: Some institutions require that the initial password (such as the last 6 digits of the ID card) must be modified when logging in for the first time.

How to check password in EasyConnect

Not directly viewable: The client will not display the saved password in plain text. If you forget your password, you need to reset it through the "Forgot Password" process.

Ways to retrieve it:

Contact the administrator to inquire or reset the password (some institutions need to submit a "VPN Activation Application Form").

Operate through the password retrieval function of a unified identity authentication platform (such as the school information portal).

How to log in to the server with EasyConnect

Operation steps:

Open the client → enterserverAddress (such as https://vpn.ahpu.edu.cn) → click "Connect" → enter username and password to log in.

Get server address:

Usually provided by the administrator, the common format is https://vpn.xxx.edu.cn or https://svpn.xxx.com.

Some universities provide VPN entrance and address guidance in the library or on the homepage of their official website.
