How to use batch renaming software

1. In the navigation on the left, locate the directory that needs to be renamed.

2. Select the renaming method.

delete

Header deletion: Delete the specified number of characters from the header of the file name.

Tail deletion: Delete the specified number of characters at the end of the file name (not including the extension).

Middle deletion: Starting from the first few characters of the file name, delete the specified number of characters.

replace

Replaces the specified string in the file name with a new string.

If the replacement content is empty, delete the string to be replaced.

Optional (case sensitive) for English file names.

Add to

Header addition: Add the specified string to the header of the file name.

Tail deletion: Add the specified string to the end of the file name.

Middle deletion: Insert the specified string starting from the first few characters of the file name.

Format: # represents the self-increasing serial number and represents the file name.

Case

Change the file name to all uppercase or all lowercase

Change the extension to all uppercase or lowercase, or capitalize the first letter

Modify the extension to the specified name

Delete a specified group of strings that match. You can choose to delete all or delete the specified number.

For example: the file name is abc[de]fgh[ijk]lm[n].txt, and the deletion symbol is []

Delete all and rename it to: abcfghlm.txt

Only delete the second one and rename it to: abc[de]fghlm[n].txt

3. You can choose to rename files or directories, and files can be filtered based on their extensions.

4. When the selection is completed, you can click Preview to preview the renaming result of the file or directory. If a red file appears in the preview results, it means that the red file has the same name or the file name is unavailable.
