File deletion

There are two ways to delete files in Windows: One is ordinary deletion, that is, after we select the file, press the Delete button on the keyboard or select the "Delete" option from the right mouse button. Ordinary deletion just puts the files into the recycle bin. Any deleted files can be recovered in the recycle bin, which is equivalent to having "regret medicine" after accidentally deleting files;

The other is complete deletion, that is, after selecting the file and pressing the Shift+Delete key, the deleted file will not be moved to the Recycle Bin but will be deleted directly from the hard disk partition.

However, whether it is a normal deletion of a file or a complete deletion of a file, if we do not read or write to the hard disk partition after deleting the file, the file data information will still be "retained" in the hard disk data area.

File shredding

As the name suggests, it completely deletes files on your computer without leaving any traces. Using some file shredding tools, this can be done.

File shredding is different from directly deleting files. This depends on the Windows file system. Windows file systems include FAT systems such as FAT12, FAT16, and FAT32, and NTFS file systems. In the FAT file system, if you create a file, you need to open an "allocation table" on the disk, just like a library bibliography. This table contains a pointer to the address of the file's contents. The system then reads and writes the file at the pointed address. At the same time, if other files are to be created, they are prohibited from pointing to this address to prevent file confusion. It is much more convenient for the operating system to delete files: just destroy the "bibliography". The address pointed to by "Bibliography" is considered empty. The data in the computer is composed of binary numbers, which appear as "concave" and "convex" on the disk. Since the system cannot predict the file details that will be deposited, the file contents can be considered random. It can be known from mathematical knowledge that "0" and "1" in the disk have no impact on the speed of rewriting information.

"File shredding" deletes the content and "bibliography" together, so that the content of the file is unknown to anyone. Moreover, general file shredding software can delete historical records in Word, WPS and other tools and temporary files created by the system, so that no one can know our privacy.
