Serial debugging assistant (SComAssistant)

A good and compact serial port debugging assistant, supports commonly used baud rates of 300-115200bps, can set parity, data bits and stop bits, and can receive or send any data or characters (including Chinese) in ASCII code or hexadecimal ), you can set the automatic sending cycle arbitrarily, save the received data as a text file, and send text files of any size!

In addition to [SSCOM], the widely used serial port assistant tool is [SComAssistant], which is also a relatively easy-to-use serial port debugging software.

SComAssistant usage tutorial:

The tool opening interface is as follows. Including various operation buttons, selection input box and serial port data sending window and data receiving window.

You need to select the target serial port. The baud rate used by the connected device is usually 19200 or 115200. Generally, the parity bit, data bit, and stop bit can be selected as the default. Then click [Open Serial Port] to connect to the serial port.

If the information sent and received by the target device is in hexadecimal, you must check the following two positions [Hex Display] and [Hex Send] to ensure the normal sending and reception of hexadecimal data.

If you need to test the stability of the device and need to continuously send test commands, you can check [Automatic Send] and set the sending interval in [Automatic Send Period], as shown below to send at commands at intervals of 100 milliseconds.

If you need to send a file to the device, you can click [Select File to Send], select the corresponding file in the pop-up selection box, and then click [Send File] to complete the sending.
