Problem description:

When using the Mercury Security APP for remote monitoring, you may encounter a situation where the device displays "offline".

Solution:

Check the network connection: Make sure the recorder or camera is connected to the Internet and can communicate normally with the MERCURY cloud server on the external network.

Check the IP address settings: If the device uses a static IP address, check whether the router's network segment has changed. If it changes, you need to set the device to a dynamic IP and obtain the IP address again.

Check the network line: Check whether the network line between the video recorder and the switch or the switch and the router is smooth. Confirm the quality of the network cable, crystal head production and switch settings (such as whether to turn on isolation mode or divide VLAN).

Check the router settings: Check whether the router is set to prohibit the video recorder or camera from accessing the Internet, and unblock it if necessary. Also check whether the router has enabled WiFi that requires authentication. This may cause the recorder to be unable to connect to the external network.
