The official version of Able Software R2V is a vector image conversion tool specially built for CAD. Able Software
The latest version of R2V adopts professional intelligent automatic digitization technology, which can convert automatic raster images into vector graphics, and supports screen image and vector editing functions. By Able Software
R2V software users can also perform fully automatic vectorization and interactive line tracing from scanned maps and drawings to improve image processing efficiency.
Able Software R2V software introduction
R2V supports full screen image and vector editing, labeling and georeferencing, use of GeoTIFF or user-specified control points, image blanketing, color image classification and separation, text symbol detection and recognition (OCR), automatic polygon layer creation, 3D
DEM and mesh creation, and 3D display and image drape. R2V is now used in cartography and GIS database creation applications in more than 60 countries.
Able Software R2V software features
Image format: Supports 1-bit black and white, 8-bit grayscale and color (4-bit, 8-bit and 24-bit) TIFF, GeoTIFF and
BMP image file format. Supports most TIFF compression modes. The software has no image size restrictions. Also supports SPOT satellite image format. in Able
In Software, raster images can be geo-referenced and stored in the GeoTIFF file format.
Vector output/input: ArcView (shape file), Arc/Info, DXF, MapInfo (MIF/MID), MapGuide SDL, 3D mesh file, 3D
DEM (compatible with USGS DEM) and 3D XYZ vector file formats. More vector file formats will be added in future versions.
Advanced vectorization (supports three vectorization methods)
Fully automatic vectorization: High-quality vectorization of your scanned images in seconds with just one command. Batch processing allows you to vectorize a series of scanned images without any user intervention. User batch command text can be written to perform customized processing on the image before vectorizing it, and to perform necessary processing on the vector line segments after vectorization.
交互式矢量跟踪:在光栅图像上选择两点后让Able
Software automatically performs vector tracing for you. Convenient, precise and smart! For complex maps or other drawings, use interactive methods to selectively vectorize. Plus use the multi-line tracking feature to vectorize a series of line segments in just two clicks.
Manual screen digitization: using Able
Software's convenient vector editor allows you to simply draw line segment vectors with a raster image as the background, zoom in and out freely, and quickly generate the required data for your unique application.
Complete vector editing: The system provides an on-screen vector editor with an image as the background. Line segments can be generated, moved, connected, disconnected, deleted, changed color and marked with ID.
Vector labeling and topographic map digitization: Line segments can be labeled with different ID values, and these values can be stored as specific attributes when the vector is exported to a mapping system or GIS software package. The system provides a semi-automatic contour marking function for quickly specifying the elevation values of contour lines.
Multi-layer management: Using Able Software's layer manager, you can define as many layers as needed and organize data in different layers. Able
The layer structure generated in the software is fully compatible with those output vector file formats that support multi-layer data structures. Using multi-layer definitions, vector data can be processed, edited, and displayed on a layer-by-layer basis, and can be moved between layers.
Point digitization: Point digitization is fully supported. Points can be generated, moved and annotated, and point data can be exported in all supported vector file formats.
Automatic polygon layer generation: Polygon layers can be fully automatically generated with just one command. Closed polygons can be edited and annotated using Able Software's line editor.
Powerful raster image editor: Able
Software provides a powerful raster image editor to easily edit and repair raster image points. The image editing tool supports all image formats, including 1-bit black and white, grayscale, 8-bit and 24-bit color images. Raster point mapping (Pixel
mapping) function can easily map a certain raster point value to other raster points of the same value in the entire image. This function can be used to eliminate noise points, clear the image background, or be used to fuse color layers.
Geo-refrencing and GeoTIFF compatible: vector data can be geocoded, or using control points and world files -
TFW) maps vector data corrections to real geographic coordinate systems (such as UTM, longitude/latitude). Raster images can also be used with ESRTs Arc/Info,
The world file generated by ArcView or the TAB file of MapInfo is used for geographical coordinate reference. Raster image rubber sheet transformation (Image rubber
sheeting) function to geometrically correct or align a raster image to a new coordinate system. Able
The software supports two geometric transformations: bi-linear and triangulation. Geo-referenced raster images can be saved in the GeoTIFF file format and are fully compatible with other geographic information software packages that support the GeoTIFF format.
Automatic text detection and recognition: The system can automatically detect and recognize Western characters of any font shape and size. Flexible editor makes it easy to modify and delete text. Additionally, irregular cross symbols can be detected and corrected.
Multiple pictures: Use Able Software to vectorize individual pictures separately, and then combine the individual pictures into a whole by specifying appropriate control points. The flattened vector data files can be found in Able
Then edit it in the software and process it as a separate graphics file.
Powerful image processing functions: The system provides image vertical and horizontal flipping, transposing, rotating, dark background removal, edge detection, image resampling, area cropping, image smoothing, segmentation, warping and inversion processing. Built-in regulatory and non-custodial classification helps with color aerial and satellite imagery. Operations such as color separation, grayscale image enhancement, and image type conversion can all be performed in Able
Completed in Software. Three-dimensional display with ribbon images: Automatically generate three-dimensional data from labeled line segments and use Able
Software's advanced 3D display capabilities. Observe 3D data with colored bands at any angle and distance. The input and output of 3D data files support 3D DEM (compatible with USGS DEM format)
and grid format.

FAQ
Batch processing failed
Cause: Script error or inconsistent image format.
Solution:
Check batch script syntax (e.g. file paths, command parameters).
Unify the input image format (such as converting all to TIFF and then batch processing).
Software freezes or crashes
Reason: The image resolution is too high or the computer configuration is insufficient.
Solution:
Reduce the image resolution (such as from 300DPI to 150DPI).
Close other large programs to free up memory.
Update the graphics card driver or use a computer with higher configuration.
