1. Exam timeArrangements with subjects
Written test time: September 13, 2025 (Saturday)
Morning: 9:00-11:00 (comprehensive quality)
Afternoon: 13:00-15:00 (educational knowledge and ability); 16:00-18:00 (subject knowledge and teaching ability, middle school only).
Interview time: December 6-7, 2025 (you must apply after passing the written test).
Printing of admission ticket: Log in to the registration website one week before the exam to download (expected to be available from September 6).
2. Registration entrance and process
National unified registration platform
Official website address: Primary and Secondary School Teacher Qualification Examination Network ntce.neea.edu.cn.
Registration steps:
Registration: New users need to use their mobile phone number or email to register for the ETEST Pass. Registered candidates can log in directly.
Fill in the information: fill in the personal information and upload the ID photo (JPG format with white background, no larger than 200K, both ears need to be exposed).
Select application: Select the test category (kindergarten/primary school/middle school), test area and subject, submit and wait for review.
Payment confirmation: Payment must be completed within 24 hours after passing the review (written test 60-70 yuan/subject, different in each province), overdue registration will be deemed as abandonment.

Heilongjiang: 6:00 on September 10th - 17:00 on September 26th. The same time for the whole province. The examination seats are limited and first come first served.
In Shanghai, the city-wide unified deadline is from 14:00 on September 11 to 17:00 on September 26. Overdue applications will not be made up.
Hubei requires registration through the school's academic affairs system from 10:00 on September 15th to 17:00 on September 24th. Failure to pay 24 hours after payment will automatically disqualify you.
Jiangsu September 15th - September 21st Some universities (such as Nanjing University) only accept on-campus candidates.
Sichuan September 16th - September 26th. Registration is required after completing the qualification review on the national platform.
Guangdong will open in batches in late September, and social candidates must choose designated test centers.
Other provinces are expected to open up gradually in mid-to-early September. The details are subject to announcements from the Education Examination Institute of each province (such as the official website of the Zhejiang Provincial Education Examination Institute).
Note: Some provinces may register in two phases. It is recommended to log in to the official website every day to check for updates.
3. Application conditions and precautions
Academic requirements:
Kindergarten: Graduation from Kindergarten Normal School or above.
Primary school: Graduation from secondary normal school or above.
Middle school: Higher normal college or university bachelor degree or above.
Current students: third-year undergraduate students, second-year junior college students and above can apply with proof of student status.
Other requirements:
Registration is required at the place of household registration or residence permit (residents from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan can apply with their residence permit).
The score of a single subject in the written test is valid for 2 years. After passing the interview, the teacher qualification certification must be completed within 3 years.
Important reminder:
Restrictions on examination seats: Some provinces (such as Zhejiang and Jiangsu) have limited examination seats, so it is recommended to register as early as possible.
Photo specifications: The uploaded ID photo will be used for the admission ticket and certificate. It must be taken strictly in accordance with the requirements to avoid being rejected due to unqualified photos.
Score review: Within 10 working days after the written test results are announced, you can apply to the local Education Examination Authority for review (only for score registration errors).
