1. Problem description
For changes to the common cache directory, special modification items are provided in the "Advanced Settings" of 360 Secure Browser, which can be freely set here.
However, 360 Secure Browser does not provide a method to change the GPU cache directory. The default path of the GPU cache directory is located in the User DataDefault directory of the browser installation directory, and the folder name is GPUCache.
So if you want to specify the GPU cache directory elsewhere, how do you do this?
2. Operation of changing the GPU cache directory
First, if 360 Secure Browser is running, first close 360 Secure Browser, then open the User DataDefault folder in the 360 Secure Browser installation directory, and delete the GPUCache directory under it.
Then open the command prompt window as an administrator.
3. Enter the following command in the command prompt window:
mklink /D "D:Program Files (x86)360360se6User DataDefaultGPUCache" "Z:GPUCache", then press Enter. The meaning of this command is to establish a hard link to link the GPU cache directory of the 360 browser to the GPUCache directory of the Z drive.
4. When typing the above command, please pay attention to the following points:
The path to the new directory is arbitrary, but it must exist. Also, the directory name must be GPUCache.
The part in the first quotation mark is written according to the installation path of your 360 secure browser. My browser is installed in the Program Files (x86) 360 directory of the D drive. If the browser is installed elsewhere, please specify the corresponding directory.
If your path does not contain spaces, the quotation marks at both ends of the path can be omitted. However, it doesn't matter if you add quotation marks.
5. After pressing Enter, a directory name GPUCache with an arrow will be generated in the Default directory, indicating that the change is successful. Note that this directory is not an ordinary shortcut.
