Healing Brush Tool
1. Select the Healing Brush Tool.
2. Click the brush sample in the options bar and set the brush options in the pop-up palette.
Choose a blending mode from the Mode menu in the options bar. Choose Replace to preserve noise, film grain, and texture at the edges of the brush stroke.
Choose the source for repairing pixels in the options bar: Sample to use pixels from the current image, or Pattern to use pixels from a pattern. If Pattern is chosen, select a pattern from the Pattern pop-up palette.
3. Select "Align" in the option bar, and the pixels will be continuously sampled without losing the current sampling point, even when you release the mouse button. If Align is deselected, the sample pixels from the initial sample point are used each time you stop and restart painting.
4. If you select "Sample All Layers" in the options bar, you can sample data from all visible layers. If Sample All Layers is deselected, only the active layer is sampled.
5. For the Healing Brush tool in sampling mode, you can set the sampling point by placing the pointer in any open image, then holding down the Alt key and clicking.
6. Drag within the image. Each time you release the mouse button, the sample pixels are blended with existing pixels. Check the status bar to see the status of the blending process.
