First, after opening the VideoStudio 2018 software, add the video to the file.
Next, we drag the video on the file to the overlay track.

Click Play in the video window to play the video in the overlay track.
When we play the video segment that needs to be edited, we press the pause button.
Next, we press the scissors at the bottom of the video window. This is the editing.
After pressing the scissors, we can see that the video on the overlay track below has been separated and divided into two ends.
If we want to keep the first video and edit a video in the middle, then we will continue to play.
When we determine that a certain video in the middle is not needed, we click stop, and then click the scissors to edit. At this time, the unnecessary video in the middle was edited out.
Next, we use the mouse to click on the unnecessary video in the middle, and then open it with the right mouse button. At this time, we click the delete function to delete this video.
After deleting the middle video, our video will be left empty. Next, we will drag the remaining unplayed video to the back of the first video.
Then, we continue to play the video. After playing for a while, if we don’t want the following video, we can also click to stop. After stopping, we click the scissors again to edit.
After editing, we click on the unnecessary video at the end, then right-click to open it, and then click delete, and we delete the unnecessary video at the end.
