Enter the password and confirm to open the excel file whose password you want to cancel.

Click Save As under the File menu. The way to cancel the password is to save the file again, and cancel the password when saving, replacing the original file or renaming it.

Click on Tools and select General Options

Delete the password, click OK and save.

The prompt file already exists. Do you want to replace it? If you want to overwrite the original file, just click Yes and it will be replaced.

If you want to keep the original file and save it again, click No and then change the file name and save it as a new file.
