It is estimated that many partners do not understand the operation of extruding the center line and surface of Rhino to form a body. For this reason, the editor below will share the operation method of extruding the center line and surface of Rhino to form a body. I hope that friends in need can learn together.
Open Rhino
Draw an irregular curve arbitrarily here. Note that the line here must be a closed curve. At the same time, the curve must be on the same surface.
Line extrusion into a body: Use the [Extrude Closed Plane Curve] tool. This tool has three places. 1. Under the [Cube] tool menu---[Extrude closed plane curve]. 2. Under the [Cube] tool menu---[Extrude Surface]--[Extrude closed planar curve]. 3. In the [Create Surface] work group-----[Extrude Surface]--[Extrude Closed Planar Curve], see 1, 2, and 3 in the figure respectively.
Click to select the curve to be extruded into a solid body, then click the [Extrude Closed Plane Curve] tool and drag along the vertical normal direction of the curve to extrude the solid body. You can set the default length of the pulled body, whether it is an entity, etc. You can directly enter the value later.
Extrude the surface into a body: first turn the closed curve into a surface, use the [Create Surface] tool set, [Create Surface with Planar Curve].
Use the Extrude [Extrude Surface] tool, go to the [Cube] tool---[Extrude Surface], as shown in the figure.
Click to select the surface to be extruded into a body, and then select [Create Surface]. You can set the default length of the extruded body, whether it is a solid body, etc. You can directly enter the value later.
Above, I have shared with you the operation method of extruding the center line and surface of Rhino into a body. Friends in need should hurry up and read this article.
