Simple steps to ignore line numbers with Beyond Compare

After clicking text comparison, click the browse button to open the text that needs to be compared. As can be seen from the figure below: the red difference part in the text contains the difference in line numbers.

Click the "Rules" option to pop up the Session Settings: "Important" options dialog box. Click Edit Grammar to create a new grammar. Click "+" to pop up the grammar project window, and configure the grammar project as shown in the figure below.

At the bottom of the "Important" tab - Mark the "line number" element in the syntax element (G) that is important for comparison. There is no need to check it, just click "OK" to close the window.

After setting the above text comparison standards, when comparing text content again, just click the "Secondary" button to ignore the line number and only display the content differences of the text.
