What is an IP address:

How to check ip address:
Method 1: Query through the router
If you are using a router to access the Internet, enter "ipconfig" in the startup process. The IP address you see is the IP address assigned by the router, not the external IP address, as shown below:
The IP address we see in the picture above is: 192.168.1.100 is not a real IP address on the Internet (public IP address), but an intranet address (LAN IP address) assigned by the router.
