If you also encounter this problem when using Win7 system, you can refer to the following tutorial to solve it: "How to solve the problem that there is no Word option when right-clicking New in Win7?" 》
Solution to the problem that there is no word when right-clicking New in XP:
1. Click Start in the lower left corner of the computer desktop, and click "Run (R)" or "RUN" in the pop-up box;
2. Then the "Run" window pops up, enter "regedit" and click OK;
3. The "Registry Manager" window will pop up. Find "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT" on the left side of the window and click the "+" in front of it, as shown in the figure;
4. Find the suffix folder representing the office software in the submenu under "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT", such as .doc for Word, .xls for Excel, and .ppt for Powerpoint. Here we take Word as an example to find the .doc folder. Then right-click to create a new "item" and name it "ShellNew";
5. Click on the newly created "ShellNew" file, right-click on the blank area on the right to create a new "String Value", and name it "NullFile";
6. Close the registry manager, return to the desktop, and try right-clicking the mouse again. You will find that your new project contains office software such as Word!
